Why make Art?

Let the public decide, according to sculptor Henner Kuckuck. Born in Germany his career spans nearly five decades. He has worked in Europe, Asia and America and currently resides in Berlin.

Henner says to understand his work:

Let associations happen: like swinging
objects, like architectural forms, like
natural forms, like birds, animals and
people, without imitating any of them.

Art to him is a problem to be solved. The material and the man bound together. Flat sheets become three dimensional forms, steel beams seem to float on cables and old images represent new ideas.
